Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated person with extensive experience in working with MicroK8s Charmed Kubernetes Juju Charms and the Canonical software universe. You will be responsible for architecting deploying and managing our infrastructure ensuring scalability reliability and performance to support our automation infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
MicroK8s and Charmed Kubernetes Expertise: Lead the design deployment and management of our Kubernetes infrastructure using MicroK8s and Charmed Kubernetes to support our automation infrastructure needs.
Juju Charms and Canonical Software Universe: Utilize Juju Charms to streamline the deployment and management of complex workloads leveraging the power of the Canonical software universe.
Infrastructure Architecture: Collaborate with our tech team to design and implement a scalable secure and costeffective infrastructure that meets our current and future automation infrastructure requirements.
Deployment and Automation: Streamline deployment processes using automation tools like Ansible Terraform or similar ensuring consistent and efficient infrastructure provisioning.
Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and resource utilization issues.
Security and Compliance: Ensure infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Capacity Planning: Work closely with our teams to forecast infrastructure needs and plan for capacity growth.
Cloud Integration: Assess and recommend cloud services and offerings that complement our onpremises infrastructure optimizing the overall infrastructure cost and performance.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations procedures and best practices.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure professionals fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in setting up and managing MicroK8s Charmed Kubernetes environments and using Juju Charms within the Canonical software universe.
Strong knowledge of Linuxbased systems administration and shell scripting.
Experience with cloud services (AWS Azure GCP) and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency in infrastructureascode (Terraform Ansible etc.).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker Kubernetes).
Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g. Kubernetes certifications) are a plus.
