Registered Behavior Technician Opportunity

Great Opportunity for students seeking a paid Formal BACB Practicum Program!

Our program includes all supervision types required to test for the BACB BCBA exam. Paid supervision provided by BACB certified supervisors with a promotion pathway to BC-ABA and BCBA roles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy under the supervision of a BCBA to autistic children
• Maintain a 75% billable hour ratio in weekly work hours; up to 25% of weekly hours can be administrative activity time
• Work collaboratively with a BCBA supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
• Complete social skills and life skills training under the supervision of a BCBA
• Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
• Implement behavior plans and follow through with behavior management procedures under the supervision of a BCBA
• Use behavior management techniques to help decrease maladaptive behaviors and increase the development of social skills, life skills, and adaptive behavior
• Comfortable communicating with family or caregivers and supervisors
• Attend Professional Development Trainings, as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma required; Undergraduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field preferred
• RBT certification required
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs and ABA agency management software preferred
• Acceptable driving record and proof of insurance
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with staff and families, collaborative, and team-oriented
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Creative and open-minded
• Compassionate, empathic, and caring with a great determination to succeed
• Interest in technical innovations applied to behavior therapy

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees accept a mutually agreeable schedule from available client options. Times of service and locations would vary depending on the client and may require travel; a driver’s license and insurance will be required depending on the client schedule agreed upon. This role requires the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing – including frequent talking, hearing, writing, typing, reading, and significant comprehension. This role assists with working with young children that will regularly require moving quickly, crouching, and sitting on the floor. The employee frequently is also required to sit, stand, walk briskly, use hands, and reach with arms/hands. Regular and consistent attendance required.
