Job Summary: To provide leadership and strategic direction while maintaining high-quality standards within the Filling Department. This individual will oversee day-to-day workflow, ensuring operational excellence, and will play a key role as a member of the Filling Leadership team. They will drive performance, foster team development, and contribute to achieving departmental and organizational goals. Fundamental components and requirements include but are not limited to:

• Knowledge of and application of Advanced Rx’s Standard Operating Procedures
• Lead initiatives in forecasting the hiring needs of the department
• Plan and track career development opportunities for all filling staff
• Identify areas of improvement and efficiencies using data-driven metrics
• Motivate Filling staff to achieve performance goals
• Participate in senior leadership culture meetings and incorporate culture-building activities and events within the department while maintaining the culture budget
• Collaborate with other company managers/supervisors to ensure good communication and working relationships between departments
• Utilize critical thinking skills to solve fulfillment operational issues that arise
• Prepare for routine inspections in collaboration with the leadership team
• Review and oversee quality issues
• Prepare and conduct all filling employee evaluations, warnings, performance improvement plans, and terminations with the assistance of HR as needed
• Prep and deliver monthly Filling Department Team meetings
• Track and evaluate filling team performance-based metrics
• Assist in the filling department workflow as needed
• Plan and schedule the filling department tasks on a daily basis
• Assist with filling department training and ensure training plans are followed appropriately
• Assist the pharmacy manager to ensure all filling department employees are up to date with all required competencies
• Other duties as specified by Operational Leadership

Filling Manager may not:

• Accept or transcribe an oral order or telephone order
• Enter or be in the pharmacy if a pharmacist is not on duty
• Transfer a prescription from another pharmacy
• Perform any act within the practice of pharmacy that involves discretion or independent professional judgment
